Signed mid-Season 1 as an injury replacement, lost to the league for all of Season 2 while "chasing $$$ on the USA tour," and back ever since — Shayl Inlander's career arc is TNT's best redemption-of-the-prodigal-son story. The scouting report flagged a cricket background, a lethal serve and one pressing question (can he wear the glasses on court?); the answers have been yes, yes, and apparently. His Season 3 return alongside Ethan Seamer was electric — a 4-0 start that had the league asking "who's stopping them?" before a devastating 7-6 quarter-final tiebreak loss — and he ran the partnership back as Light Blue's captain in Season 4, again reaching the quarters. Off the court he's half the TNT media department: the late-night finds, the round-day hype tapes and half the league's best photography carry his credit.
