Announced with the greatest signing quote in league history — "their tennis ability remains unknown, but goodness they have to be the most handsome pairing out there" — Jackson Virgona arrived in Season 3 to replace an injured Archie Littlejohn alongside Declan Croucher, forming the much-loved "Gun Show." The tennis ability, it turns out, was real: an athletic net presence with a knack for saving his best for the biggest stage. Season 4 proved it, as he and captain Lachlan Jenkin took Navy on a proper finals run — knocking out Red in the quarter-final before falling to the undefeated Pink machine in the semis — with Virgona peeling off eight winners in the final round to close the regular season in style. The raw win-loss record is still catching up to the highlights, but that's a technicality. Handsome pairing confirmed; dangerous pairing, increasingly so.
