Career totals and the all-time boards count Season 1 era-adjusted onto that scale — a 2 counts as 6, a 1 as 4 — so a best-on-court night weighs the same in every era; season pages and the S1 MVP tally show the votes as cast. Finals are voted separately, 4-3-2-1, for the Finals MVP; those votes never count toward the season MVP.
