Recap
The season of the professional era. TNT returned in 2023 with a draft night at the Glenferrie Hotel, a revamped voting system (two voters, 3-2-1 per match), and a transfer window for the ages: Max "the Punj" Razums signed amid TNT News fanfare, Lachy Godden joined to a memorable Ed Simpson welcome, while Shayl Inlander departed chasing "$$$ on the USA tour" and Joel Trudgeon was told to never touch a racquet again. Luke Sharrock and Razums stormed to the minor premiership at 7-1, with Sharrock in generational touch, while Charlie Simpson opened the year with an 11-winner statement. Down the ladder, Green were such clear wooden spooners the executive considered an assistance package, one round featured Navy nudie-running Green (best not to ask), and a pair of captain no-shows produced the first singles match in league history — the night Conor Paraskevas etched 28 unforced errors into eternity. The finals turned on two three-set semis: Gorton and Ed Simpson ground past Pink, and Wise and Hume stunned the top-seeded Yellow. In a sweltering decider, Orange took the title — Gorton adding the Finals MVP, Simpson a ring, and Wise and Hume left agonisingly short. Sharrock's 41 of a possible 42 votes made him a back-to-back MVP. The bar had been raised.

How votes work: Season 1 used 2 (best) / 1 (second) per match plus a Player-of-the-Round bonus. From Season 2 onward, two voters each award 3-2-1 per match — a maximum of 6 per match. Career totals and the all-time boards count Season 1 era-adjusted onto that scale — a 2 counts as 6, a 1 as 4 — so a best-on-court night weighs the same in every era; season pages and the S1 MVP tally show the votes as cast. Finals are voted separately, 4-3-2-1, for the Finals MVP; those votes never count toward the season MVP.
Fill-in nights are excluded — those votes were earned for another team.
